I guess I have quite a few things to be excited about. Big Brother finally comes to an end this week. Good! I can't stand Aisleyne, and plus this year, the people were boring. Last years Big Brother was waaay better to me. The next bit of good news is the X-Factor starts back this Saturday! Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne return to shatter the dreams of many hopefuls trying to compete for a 1 million recording contract. The show has spawned artists such as last years winner Shayne Ward and Maria Lawson who was also behind the voting controversy when she was kicked out of the competition by Louis Walsh, as he wanted to keep the talentless Conway Sisters all because *cough* they were Irish just like him and he knew them on a personal level. Speaking of Simon Cowell, I know quite a few peeps who are currently auditioning for American Idol. Now this should be good. The other good stuff? Well for one, the leaked albums of Danity Kane and Kelis. I'm sure I'll be making a quick bob. I've been taking all the latest leaked music to my workplace and selling each copy for three quid. Well, a chick has to make her little hustle you know. Monolo Blahniks don't grow from crows feet, rice doesn't fall from the sky and money doesn't grow on trees either, hahaha! I do wish car petrol was a bit cheaper though. Oh well. So what's been going on with the R&B scene lately?

This week Cassie just about failed to hit the 100K mark with her "hot-beats but I sound a hot mess" debut album. Still, at least she managed to get a respectable chart position by landing in at no3 in the top 100 Albums Billboard Chart. I think she'll do Gold eventually. She may be a mockery to the music industry right about now but at least her success will guarantee that the super talented Mr Ryan Leslie will get his just dues and recognition as a fantastic producer on the come-up. He also produced some stuff on the new Danity Kane album as well as many other established R&B acts. You may want to check out his album which didn't get released but for the life of me, I don't know why. The production was good, and he has already proven he has a nice voice (check out his collaborations on Cassie's CD). Beyonce finally goes it a second time by debuting her new video Ring The Alarm last night. A lot of the fans still aren't that impressed with it but would some what agree that this latest offering from the erratic Beyonce Knowles is a lot better than Deja Vu but not by much. Now let's get to the video. Yes, I agree that they should've shown her getting arrested because I didn't catch on straight away that she was put in some interrogation room for questioning and the red lip at the end showing her to be the evil female after what she had done was quite creative. However, Sophie Muller has proven to be a wack job lately. I still think Deja Vu is a much better song than Ring The Alarm though. Is it me or does it seem that ever since Beyonce has fallen in love with Jay-Z it has taken a dangerous dip in her music career? Her lyrics pacify that of a young fool who has to act all crazy and make no sense. Since Jay-Z is handling her business, her material hasn't really been up to par. See, they don't say you shouldn't mix business with pleasure for no reason you know. I could NEVER work with my boyfriend like that. We'd end up throttling the shit out of each other. It would just be unhealthy and considering that Beyonce jacks from Jennifer Lopez, it seems she hasn't learnt from the Bennifer fiasco whatsoever. You only learn when it's too late to rectify the situation and with Beyonce's insecureness, I can't see them making it up the aisle any time soon!

Justin Timberlake apparently apologised to Janet Jackson in his All Eyes interview. This concerned him acting like a punk bitch and running away from the Superbowl incident leaving Janet Jackson to get all the blame, when it was HIM who unveiled her pierced nipple to millions of people on an International conglomerate network where children were watching. Of course, since now that the two of them are releasing albums next month, people are still talking about the incident despite it happening three years ago. Anyway, in the interview he stated that he should've done more to stand up for Janet and that he only recieved 10% of the blame. He also stated that the fact that he got off scot-free shows that America's prejudices on "ethnic" women came to light during the aftermath. Well, he is right but his fake-assed apology would've been more genuine had he not have waited for the promotion of his sophomore album and his need to win back his black fanbase after his nigga card was revoked just because T.I is on the next single. He is now seeing that other white acts like Fergie and Nelly Furtado are recieving love from urban radio, so he wants to recieve it too. Justin doesn't care about black people but only acknowledge black folks when he wants black support, kind of like a Michael Jackson thing, except MJ was born out of a black passageway so that makes him legitimately black if it serves me correctly, even if he doesn't look it.

Alicia Keys is one of the few artists that I admire and respect. I have brought all of her albums and to this day I will continue to do so. However, my respect for the woman reached higher depths this week and here's why. In Sister 2 Sister she reveals how she made her boyfriend and production partner Kerry 'Krucial' Brothers wait a year before they had sex because she respects her body and it is too beautiful to give it up to a man whose not deserving of it. A woman of principle is what I like to see. Sounds like Kerry is a man for keeps. Nice one Alicia. Always know that your body is your temple and not to be taken advantage of. So Kanye West proposed to his new girlfriend Alexis (left). She looks waaay better than that Brooke who always looked a hot mess to me. Not that Kanye is a looker himself because he aint. He looks like he could be a throwback from the chipmunk family if you ask me but I do like him for his great R&B producing (Alicia Keys, Brandy, Janet). However, I think he was right to dump Brooke after she acted a damn fool on her myspace page. Apparently, she took to heart what was said about her on a message-board (Lipstick Alley) and went on a long and vicious rant bragging and boasting about what she had and what us bitches didn't. I read her rant and couldn't believe it. So not classy and ladylike AT ALL. She's not even a real celebrity. Folks bombarded Kanye's record label with complaints and word must've gotten back to him. Still, I don't think Brooke was too bothered about the engagement. She was too busy celebrating her 25th (see pictures below).
