JUSTIN SAYS TAYLOR HICKS CAN'T SING

"I have a strange relationship with that show," Timberlake says. "I despise it, and yet I'm completely fascinated. The guy who won-people think he looks so normal, and he's so sweet, and he's so earnest, but he can't carry a tune in a bucket. Do you realize how much pressure it is to put on somebody all of a sudden? If he has any skeletons whatsoever; if, God forbid, he's gay, and all these people in Mississippi who voted for him are like"-he puts on his thickest Southern accent-"'Oh, my God, I voted for a queer!' It's just too much pressure. But that's what we do in America. The American dream is still to be young, rich, and famous."

I don't like Taylor Hicks myself but does he realise how ungrateful and pathetic he sounds? And QUEER? Um, your FORMER N-Sync band member Lance Bass has also recently confessed to being a "queer" and so, how do you think your hormonic girl fans felt drooling over the American good-looking heart throb boyband only to realise they were drooling over a "queer"? Wouldn't you think that was kind of misleading having your female fans think all members of N-Sync were hetereosexual and available when it was just one big facade? And being young, rich and famous himself, he really needs to think before he speaks or someone give him a fat dose of SHUT THE FUCK UP to swallow. Another interesting quote from the interview:

"We live in strange days, man, and I think some people have good albums for completely the wrong reasons-because of the fact that they broke up with somebody or something."

Are you talking about Usher or yourself? But that said I do agree with this quote whole heartedly. Mary J Blige only puts out outstanding music when she's going through some shit in her life. Justified was where he was at his "Britney broke my heart" stages and when Usher had a very nasty break-up with Chilli, that too was a huge formula for success and good material. In the interview, he also continues to brag about his drug use which makes him look like his posing on his "adventurous bad boy" side but when I look at him, I don't see bad boy. Just someone who needs to be a controversialist with every album only to make himself look uncool and pathetic in the process. I try to warm up to him because I will admit, he puts out good music (Sexy Back, as an exception) but then he will come out, do an interview and say something dimwit-ish.

What else is music if not sharing who you are, where you have been, what you have learned and been through? It makes the best music. Music is supposed to move people. Do laugh, cry, relate, to feel something besides wanting to dance all the time.

To me that is music. So yeah, Usher accomplished that on his last CD. Mary has accomplished that on a few. If folks actually got back to making music and not "singles" just think where the music scence would be right now.
