Showstopper is a boastful but girl power packed anthem. As previously stated, lyrical content is very derivative but it is a nice track (the "Cadillac, bling-bling, look at me I'm a hot chick" motif has been played into the ground this summer and maybe those type of themes are in fact fitting for the season but you just feel you've submitted your ears to some more recycled jargon). Hold Me Down contains a hard-hitting Hip Hop beat. One Shot has a Middle-Eastern instrumental (kind of like Buttons, but funnily enough it does sound like a Pussy Cat Dolls track). I think this song is one of the hottest songs on the album actually. Want It, Back Up and Press Pause are upbeat fast-paced dance tracks which are vibrantly sexy whereas Touching My Body is a very seductive beat-filled club banger as is Ooh Ahh. Right Now is a melodious slow jam comprised with a lot of flare. Heartbreaker is another one for the dance floor with a Ciara-type clincher during mid-break. Stay With Me in particular, is probably suppose to be the big power ballad to implement their vocal abilities but come across as bland and under-whelming. I do like Ride For You though. Sleep On It is a good bonus track to supplement the album towards the end. I actually prefer the Dream album Reality compared to this Danity Kane offering (another female R&B group of P.Diddy who is now defunct). Overall, I think this album is decent. I wouldn't buy it though but I would definitely listen to it again.

The album isn't all that brilliant, but I have to say...these reality show bands in the US get much better treatment than those in the UK. Only in the US could a reality show band / artist go in the studio with Timbaland, Bryan Michael Cox, Rodney Jerkins and Scott Storch for their debut record.
These girls kick the shit out of Girls aloud. Good album or not. *lol*
"One shot" = better than everything Girls aloud have done. *LOL*
I must say their is ONE BIG difference between Danity Kane & the PCD..They all get to sing & actually can sing (thats 2 but really 2-1)
True dat. Their debut is aight. They have a sound and a style (even if it is nothing new) - their album has a consistent sound. I haven't watched "Making the band" so often I don't know who's singing what.
Hopefully, once they begin to carve out their own personans and stand out as individuals and THEN come with a second album to amplify this - I think it'll do 'em good in the long run and be better for the music.
The problem is, being signed to Bad boy doesn't spell longevity. Alot of his signed acts either get shot dead, find God and retire from the music game, get dropped or defer to another label.
