MAKING THE BAND 4: I WANT YOU EXCLUSIVE ....

An exclusive track from Diddy's new male vocal group via Making The Band 4 surfaced yesterday and it is called I Want You Exclusive:

It sounds like a decent track even if it's not finalised. Bryan Michael Cox has yet to disappoint me as an R&B producer but this is possibly one of VERY FEW tracks that will catapult the band into temporary super-stardom. Before you know it, Diddy will have become bored with his new toys. It's no secret that Diddy treats ALL of his signed acts like experiments. Of course he'll make a cameo appearance for their first video giving the group a second video a thousand years later, and whilst the group remains an oblivious memory to the record-buying public, Diddy will possibly be somewhere in St Tropez on a luxury yacht living it up drinking the finest champaign. Then there's the highly likely possibility that he'll be on the set of one of his high budgeted video's whilst his group has to settle for a cheap 5-dollar video treatment.

This is what I've noticed about Diddy because he has done the same thing to 112 and Danity Kane (his girl band from Making The Band 3) and let's not forget Dream who had wonderful potential. Diddy has signed up some awesome talent over the years (Faith Evans) and not so awesome talent (Cassie). He has shown us that he is not able to be an artist AND a CEO without exerting much more time and energy into his own career. He seems to be forgetting about the acts that he has signed up. They can't promote themselves without his input. I think signing with Bad Boy is career suicide for ANY artist wanting to pursue singing. Some folks will settle for what they can get because it is seen as a foot through the door, and whilst being on a reality show which is watched by the masses serves as a quick route to fame, even that comes with a price. Well, good luck to those members that actually make the band because they're going to need it!
