Her video which ALSO premiered yesterday has been receiving a poor response, mainly because there is no concept and there was lacking delivery of her choreography. And as she's getting battered down for "copying Beyonce", her sister only bought up the subject more to light on her myspace: "I also don't like reading people saying Nicole is copying Beyonce in the clip that was leaked. GUESS WHAT??? I don't even think that part is going to be in there anymore. I was at the shoot and there is so much more to this video". So well done ditzy, for bringing it to everybody's attention and putting it under the microscope why Nicole has become today's blatant serial jacker.
Just like EVERY R&B artist this year, it appears Nicole has fallen right into the "pushed back" curse. When I posted her radio interview yesterday, the interviewers announced that her album drops on 6th November. It also appears Nicole is out of the loop because she actually thinks her album drops in October. British presenter Kat Deely (she comes from my hometown Birmingham), also made the announcement that Nicole's album drops 6th November. So another pushed back album it seems. As for the performance, I think she stands out much better when she's with the Pussycat Dolls. She needs them just as much as they need her (back-up dancers to make her stand out). And during the end, why didn't she have that choreography in the video, with the dancers? She needs DANCERS because on her own she just doesn't stand out.
As Asia Nitollano will no longer be Nicole's replacement, she can always go back (hoping she does. She is soooo much better with PCD). If her album really has been pushed back, she'll be going head to head with Alicia Keys. Alicia is releasing her new album As I Am on the same day. Miaow!
