DONNIE: BAD BOY'S NEW SIGNING ....

Blue-eyed soul is somewhat popular these days so it's no surprise that Diddy gave Donnie (Making The Band) a solo deal with Bad Boy. Since it's apparent that he really wanted to sign Donnie, why didn't he put him into the group? Surely, he'd have been the marketability factor, having those boyish good looks that is most preserving in many previous manufactured boybands. He is only going to end up being pitted against acts such as Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, Jon B, etc. And besides, white teenage girls are not afraid to spend their money on merchandise and CD's. You'll be surprised to learn that 70% of the record-buying public are white.

Maybe, this is what Diddy is aiming for. Who knows, but to me it would have made more sense to include him in the group. Even if his vocals aren't as strong as the others, he could certainly have attracted the teeny-bopper crowd. It's not like every member in the group has to be fantastic singer. Usually, it is only one or two of the members that are put to sing lead anyway whilst the others are put to harmonise. Diddy isn't a good music mogul because look at how he did his previous groups Total, 112, Dream and Danity Kane and ALL of them had mad potential to be huge. I jam the hell out of Dream's shelved album Reality and I will never fall out of love with Total's debut.

So what do you all think of Donnie's signing?
