WOW AT BEYONCE!!! SHE WILL SOUR PAST 600K IN FIRST WEEK SALES!!!

~
More pictures from Beyonce's 106 & Park appearance. I wanted to post these because her nephew Daniel is absolutely gorgeous. I love the middle picture where they're giving each other funny looks. *lol* That one made me laugh. Anyway, I just wanted to be the first to report that Ms Beyonce is set to sell 650K in her first week with her new album B'Day. Pop the corks, pop the corks!!! This analysis is down to first week sales. Now that's what you call the ultimate birthday present. When I read the news at some forum I didn't believe it, so I did my research and went over to Hits Daily Double and the article is over there if you don't believe me. 650K?!?!? That's crazy. She will have the biggest selling album from a female artist this year. Back in 2003, Beyonce's debut album Dangerously In Love sold around 330K and this album has doubled those sales so I'm really pleased for Beyonce's massive success. She truly deserves it. I also thought that Jessica Simpson's A Public Affair would've given Beyonce some competition, but it saled poorly only selling 99,076 copies.

Go ahead Beyonce, with all the hateration I'm so glad you are pulling through. Now let's make this album 4x platinum.

Oh, and I have to say this: take that haters!

Anonymous said...

Well hopefully she won't be like Mary and debut w/ high numbers and only end up selling 2 mill. I think Britney did the same thing w/ In the Zone. Not always a good sign.

Anonymous said...

"Take that haters?"

Those numbers were sold on hype. The album isn't very good. I'm not a fan, but I also have absolutely nothing against her. My opinion is unbiased. The album is not as good as that 650k suggests... so it means nothing in my opinion. Hell, even Vanilla Ice sold 7 million records in the U.S. alone, so sales mean nothing in terms of album quality. Not saying Beyonce' is untalented as Vanilla Ice, just trying to prove the FACT that sales are blown way out of proportion. That 650 can only be equaled to hype.

AND...

Sick of the nephew... seriously. Blacks in the U.S. will definitely feel me on that one.

It's her NEPHEW... let Solange parade him around. Talk about a complex.

To anonymous:

Is it that hard to believe that some of us out there actually like the album. You don't like and that's fine, but who are you to judge what a "quality album" is for the rest of us?

Also, what's wrong with her nephew celebrating her birthday with her???

WELL, SHES SELLIN OVA 600.000 COPIES CUZ ITS ONE OF THE MOST WANTED ALBUMS RIGHT NOW, BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN ANYTHIN, JUST SEE WHAT COLDPLAY DID, OR KANYE WEST, THEM BOTH SOLD OVA 700.000 COPIES THE FIRST WEEK, THEN FLOPPED, AND BEYONCE WILL DO THE SAME, THATS FOR SURE, SHE WONT SELL 4PLATINUM, SO THE FIRST BOY THAT WROTE A COMMENT...DONT MAKE ILUSIONS MAN, BEYONCE WILL FLOP HAHA CUZ SHE DESERVES IT TOO

I'm not try'na rain on nobody's parade... Now - I'm glad B is pushing major units and to this day "B'Day" is continuing to grow on me. (I already like it more than that shitty "Dangerously in love"). But it's early days. Albums can push major units in their first week and then tail off pretty quickly.

We have to remember Justin has yet to drop his album which will undoubtedly sell major units and then other albums from artists such as JoJo (don't underestimate her!) And then (if Def Jam get their damn act together) Megan Rochell who could do big things if she's launched right.

Also Toya...Did you REALLY think Jessica is even a blip on Beyonce's radar! *lol* B is definetely a force to be reckoned with.

I'm not try'na put her down or nothing, because I'm glad she's going in at #1 and doing well worldwide. But albums can launch big and tail off SO quick these days.

Still...I'm happy for her! Even with people hating on the album (many of us here *lol*) and bad album reviews knocking about, she still managed to pull off a success.

Beyonce could sell shit in a jar. The bitch is so damn profitable. I wish I could touch her leg. Just a little... *LOL!!!!*

I agree J. I really want Megan Rochelle to do well. She's so underrated. As far as quality is concerned, B'Day is just a fun album. Nothing more nothing less.

Aye Toya, don't know if you've seen this yet, but I think its fucking hilarious

well guess what,an artist first week sales does matter, coz it determines if thier record company is gonna promote and support it further, and so far, judging from beyonce's past efforts( whether solo or group), she been successful, so she's pretty safe.some of y'all r just on some pure hating shit, just give props where it due.FYI going 2x platinum is consider a success, and for the record, kanye west, mary and coldplay didn't flop, some of y'all need get your facts right. Hype???????? quality???? sorry to disappoint some of y'all but her album got crictal acclaim, basically she got good reviews all across the board, coz it's an amazing crictal acclaimed album, so eat that hater!!!
whether u like it or not, it's a good start(especially at #1) and best believe some of y'all r gonna eating those words, coz she gonna be moving some major units. so y'all haters better start gettin' creative with the rumors and crazy lies, coz it's about to be a showdown up in here.hahahahah

Anonymous said...

why dont you guys remember that her album was on presale for over a month? those sales count as first week sales.....

Anonymous said...

"why dont you guys remember that her album was on presale for over a month? those sales count as first week sales....."

Exactly. Most artists' albums don't include / aren't even up for pre-sales included in their first week totals. It GREATLY enhances sales. The meaning and outcome: Over 600K people WILL NOT actually go out and cop the album this week, that 600K include pre-sale orders.

"well guess what,an artist first week sales does matter, coz it determines if thier record company is gonna promote and support it further..."

YOU'RE telling ME how first week sales work? (If people only knew)

"FYI going 2x platinum is consider a success"

Yes it is. Especially in the days where anyone can get something that's sold for free.

"Hype???????? quality???? sorry to disappoint some of y'all but her album got crictal acclaim, basically she got good reviews all across the board, coz it's an amazing crictal acclaimed album, so eat that hater!!!"

I have to laugh at this. Truly. Please link to these reviews - but they must be professional reviews by reputable magazines or media (i.e., no blog or website only reviews - anyone can launch a site so there's no credibility there), and there must be more than 2 or 3 reviews - all across the board isn't just 2 or 3 glowing reviews. Show me some proof because I don't believe you. After listening to that album, I can't believe you.

"Beyonce could sell shit in a jar."

And that's exactly my point, she could, so what is that saying about her and her 600K? It's her popularity that's selling 600K+, not the album. The true test is to see if Beyonce will be able to do that 5-10 years down the road, because then you know it's about the artist and the music, and not just how popular they are at the moment.

"Also, what's wrong with her nephew celebrating her birthday with her???"

Like I said, blacks in the U.S. know what I meant - and if you don't, well, I wonder...

If that's directed at me, never once did I ever state (here or anywhere else - online as well as off) that Beyonce wouldn't sell. But I know the industry, and I know why the numbers are so big. I'm just telling the truth.

Oh, and just because her nephew is very light with light eyes does not mean that he's mixed. Look at Beyonce and her mother! They're pretty light! And I'm sure that they have white people mixed in their family somewhere, especially since they're supposed to be Creole. And Solange's husband is really light as well. That's kinda' ignorant how some Black people automatically assume a very light baby has to be mixed. I have a nephew who looks a lot like her's and both of his parents are black. Not only that, I read in Jet a couple months ago about a Black couple (both of them were brown skinned Black people) who had a white looking baby. They did paternity tests and it was their baby. You never know what genes are going to be prominent or how far it will go back. I'm just saying.

Anonymous said...

That's pretty Ignorant...Just because a baby is fair-skinned with light eyes/hair doesn't mean one parent is white. My cousin has two fully black parents (that are both fair with light brown eyes) and the baby is ghost white with blonde hair and blue eyes. We thought he was an albino until we got him tested. His older brother (also a baby) is much darker with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. In African-American/Black families... the color spectrum can range depending on the color of the parents. So in my dad's family his brother is extremely fair with fair coloring and his sister is extremely dark with dark coloring... he came out right in the middle with dark coloring. It happens all the time - remember, Black people come in all colors.

Just 2 let U kno Beyonce was the 2nd woman and the 1st African American woman to win the songwriters award. *Hint*

Did anyone expect different...... Get em B!!!! Comparisons to Vanilla Ice are assinine. The album is original and that's why it sold. In the day and age of bootlegs which it dropped 2 weeks ahead of schedule if it sucked it would not have sold like it did. The internet is making artist step their games up. Hate it or Love it B is still on top !!!!!

Every single day of my life.

"Comparisons to Vanilla Ice are assinine."

Are you an idiot, or do you only read what you wish to see?

The comparison was made to Vanilla Ice from a perspective of album sales ONLY. And was pretty clear.

If you couldn't realize that, you must have a very low comprehension level.

To Rick - Wow. You called the person who wrote that pathetic, but I think I would reserve that label and judgment for someone who sticks up for a singer they've probably never even met (and even if you have, it's not as if you have a friendship with the woman on any level whatsoever) and types a book of Beyonce and Destiny Childs accomplishments?

Hmmm...

Also, if you don't know the person who wrote that personally, how can you be sure that they have a "worthless and pathetic life?"

"Look at her and where she is now and now look at you, you sorry S.O.B."

I'm sorry, but were you looking at the person who wrote that? Do you know them? If not, the above makes absolutely no sense at all.

"Get a life and stop going to blogs and wastin your frickin typing on us"

Why don’t you take your own advice? Seems like a pretty loser life to type all that you did. Plus, you need to chill out my man. You're screaming on a blog - how pathetic is that?

Anonymous said...

"They shoulda never disrespect her like dat, & Vinilla Ice!?!?! WTF?????"

Are you an idiot, or do you only read what you wish to see?

Read the above reply.

I swear you guys/girls must be no older than 12 because, how in the hell do you not get the fact that the Vanilla Ice reference wasn't about a comparison of the two, but about how sales don't mean everything (like an artist or album is automatically great because of high sales)?

You guys sure you go to school?

But yes, 650K in the first week, I knew it was going to sell and with all those who are not feeling Beyonce or hating on her whatever term you want to use, all I'm going to say is 650K in first week. Regardless of what anyone says the cd is selling and Beyonce is still the "Baddest Chic" in the game translating into talented, and one of the few females who are releasing real music. Including Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys.

That's why Soundscan data/record sales shouldn't even be public knowledge. People using them to determine the worth of an artist is incomprehensible.

Sometimes I hate the Internet. For all of the good things it allows, it seems as if music is the one area where people have divided themselves greatly. On top of that, everyone thinks they know everything about music.

I should hire some of you guys. According to the majority of you, I would sell 10 million records every single time I put out an artist. I would absolutely love to see some of you with a million dollar budget and an artist.

Um you childish bitch that is why I said I wonder, and nine times outta fucking ten you probably don't. And also, what the fuck did I start, you the only dumb fuck that took it to the extreme. It's serious shit happening on the streets everyday, and the only thing you can do is stand up for a star that don't see you as nothing but probably a sell. Shit I love Kelis to death but I am not about to argue over someone else that don't even know me and could probably give a careless if I am fighting for them as an artist. People on here take opinions too damn serious, it's a blog, everyone does not have to agree on a topic. As soon as someone doesn't agree with you, yall try jumping down people throats about nothing, and calling them haters. No its called an opinion and many of yall need to have open minds before yall just respond without thinking.
