FRIDAY'S R&B CRUMMIES ...

OK guys, no need to bombard my email complaining that my page takes ages to load. I get roughly 1,500-2,000 visitors each day and when lots of folks try to access the site at one time, obviously it puts huge strain and pressure on resources and bandwidth. Please be patient. I am sorting it out. I have decided to change my layout in the next couple of weeks. I am coming towards the 2 year anniversary since I set up Toya's World and I always try to come up with new ideas to make my site more exciting and appealing in a bid to attract more visitors and advertisers because that's more profit for me (hahaha). It's fantastic to receive some kind of financial rewards for doing something that I actually enjoy doing. That is blogging, informing people as to what's going on in R&B/Urban Hollywood, and ragging on celebrities. Anyway, UK fans can catch the World Music Awards in 5 days time (22nd November 2006) on channel 4, so on that day, you can read my review of the show. I have no idea when it airs in the US though. I'm sure if you check some of those Beyonce fansites, one of them will have the TV listing. Needing to add that yesterday was a big day. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes got married. At least that gave media watchdogs something to focus on other than Britney's divorce to Kevin Ferderline which became a massive media spectacle all last week. At least this new marriage though is good news. We've seen too many divorces over the past couple of weeks - Chris Rock, Reese Witherspoon, Whitney Houston and now Britney Spears. Must be something in the air. A host of A-Listers turned up. Jada Pinkett-Smith and Jennifer Lopez being two of them. Read on.

Ciara attended the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and looked absolutely gorgeous from head to toe. I love her hair and her whole outfit. Very cute. In other Ciara news, word has it that Prince wants to become part of Ciara's "Promise". The legendary singer put out a word saying that he is rather fond of Ciara's new single "Promise" and longs to do a remix of the song with her.

In Rome, Jennifer Lopez and her hubby Marc Anthony attended the wedding of A-List Hollywood couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Jennifer looks absolutely amazing. Rock on, chick!

Jada Pinket-Smith also attended the wedding. It was suppose to be a day of love, joy and happiness but why did she have the face of a sour lemon?

Letoya Luckett's new single Obvious goes for adds 29th November but check out her latest appearance at some magazine event (above). Something is definitely going on with her face as if the surgery is converging with dire consequences. I mean it's pretty evident that she had a nose job. That is soooo obvious because her nose is beginning to look pinched like The Jacksons (yeah, it looks like she done tampered with her nose for the 2nd time), so how she was going to sit up on Wendy some months ago and blatantly lie about not getting her nose done was just stupid because anyone can deny a boob job as usually they are covered and breasts grow. However, you cannot deny a nose job when it is something we constantly see. Her nose goes from wide to extremely narrow and she thinks she can fool folks. I truly hope she has stopped with the surgery. Another case of celebs having huge insecurities and messing up their good looks.

Here is a new promo picture of actress/R&B singer Tatiana Ali as Ertha Kitt in her latest new movie role.

Alongside Tatiana, another R&B singer Monifah is also in the movie and here she is in her role as Billie Holiday. The movie is about old-time singers. Kenya Moore and Angie Stone are also in the movie and that is all I know so far but watch this space.

R&B songstress Ashanti was seen with her fella Nelly at a celebrity poker tournament at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club in New York to raise money for their charities.

Venting. When the HELL are we going to get another Danity Kane video darn it? Why are we waiting so long? Sorry, this has just been bothering me. Danity Kane released their album loooong before Diddy released his and yet, Diddy has two video's from it already. See how he has this habit of screwing over his own acts just to cater to himself? Diddy has been all over the place promoting Press Play and his acts were nowhere to be seen. I know that Danity Kane were in a car accident a couple of weeks ago but it just seems like 10 years. Anyway, speaking of one of his acts, Cassie was on TRL yesterday:

The chick can usually dress her ass off but I wasn't feeling her ensemble here. She could do with eating a burger or two, or just find some jeans that accentuate her small frame much better.

I love the new promo shots of Mary J Blige which are for her greatest hits album "Reflections (A Retrospective)" out 12 December 2006. You can tell that the photographer who did these was the same one who did the promo shoot for her album The Breakthrough and those were beautiful. I need to hire him to photograph my ass. He really does know how to make someone's features stand out and look totally appealing and aesthetic. Good job!
