BRAND NEW MACY GRAY SHOOT AND MUCH MORE...

As Macy Gray prepares for her comeback, she also decided to come with a brand new look. Putting her crack days well and truly behind her, the gravelly-voiced singer has ditched the 'fro for a more sophisticated straight do:

The shoot was put together by Giuliano Bekor, and I have to say that I think this new image of hers is an actual upgrade. In no means am I a Macy Gray fan but I do know many people who like Macy Gray. Hell, my mama likes Macy Gray. Proceed with the rest of the post to see more pictures of the photoshoot and more R&B tidbits.

This week, Kelly Rowland attended the Heatherette fashion show. At the event Kelly was escorted down the darkened runway, just before the show began, to her seat. Stopping to do interviews from the television reporters that took an interest and had no Beyonce to fathom over, Kelly was more than happy to take her shine in doing the interviews:

Even then I am pretty sure she managed to squeeze in Beyonce's name by hailing the girl as being the best thing since sliced bread. Ya'll know that Kelly's self-esteem is on a low-low right now. I thought she looked mad cute over the weekend when she hung out with my girl Alicia Keys, but here, not so much.

This week, Danity Kane's Aubrey O'Day had a birthday Party and clubbed away in New York at Katra to celebrate her 23rd birthday. It was an early celebration as Aubrey doesn't reach the big 2-3 until 11th February which is next week. The rest of the DK clan was there to help her celebrate:

Aubrey looked like her make-up was applied to appear in some kind of Dawn of The Dead Sequel. Her skin looked mad pale and her zombie-like make-up and smudged mascara made her look hideously scary. C'mon girl, this is your birthday celebration. You're supposed to be looking your best. Not someone who is attending a fancy dress party for Halloween.

Yesterday, R&B prince Omarion arrived for the Soul Train Announcement. He will be co-hosting the 21st annual Soul Train Music Awards alongside R&B princess Letoya Luckett, scheduled to take place March 10th at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Now I keep reading how this Awards show is just as bad, corny, ghetto and lowly budgeted just like the BET Awards. Now I wonder who will make right pillocks of themselves because, you know how some black folks have no restraint and practice when it comes to BLACK Awards:

Who remembers how Jodeci arrived a couple of years ago looking like mad, drugged out hippies who just got released from the mental institution? Oh My God, ya'll saw Devante's head? Let's hope there will be no more mishaps on the shows behalf. Meanwhile, Beyonce led the pack of Soul Train Music Awards nominations with three nods. Her seemingly indestructible No. 1 track, "Irreplaceable" garnered attention for Best R&B/Soul Single, Female and Best R&B/Soul or Rap Music Video, while her sophomore album B'Day, was nominated for Best R&B/Soul Album. Coming up close behind with two noms each were the likes of Chris Brown, John Legend, Chris Brown, Gnarls Barkley, Ne-Yo, Mary J. Blige, Jagged Edge and The Isley Brothers featuring Ronald Isley. Other music nominees included Jay-Z, Sean Paul, Keyshia Cole, Letoya and Danity Kane.

I don't think anyone cares. Bring on The Grammy Awards this Sunday! Now THAT should be a hot one. It will be Awards glory as the Brit Awards take place next week as well. Though I hate this show because not many black artists get their recognition and I will NEVER forgive them for the way they robbed by baybay Craig David, but you know I'll probably watch it anyway. It'll give me something to write about.

Stay tuned!
