Kehlani has slammed a (mentally ill) concert-goer who recently attended her DC show knowing full well that they had Covid and intentionally infecting several other people.
The person went on social media and said that they hoped those people would die. The concert-goer has since been blacklisted from all of the singer’s shows. We've come so far from the pandemic at its peak. Our freedoms taken away from us, being stuck at home for months, concerts and festivals cancelled for two years, an economy left in ruins, people losing their jobs, people losing their businesses, all shops closed, people getting depressed and suicidal, millions dying, domestic violence cases rising, all of that panic buying and the increased cost of living crisis causing mass poverty. Need I go on?
The world came together so that all restrictions could be lifted and people could go back to enjoying a life of normality pre-pandemic. And while Covid is still out there, a mass vaccination program has meant that the virus is not as much a large risk as it was back then. So for sick individuals to purposefully go to a crowded concert and spread the disease puts us a step back from all the great progress that has been made.
Also, if a person knowingly infects someone with HIV, they would go to jail, so anyone that deliberately put lives at risk deserves to pay a serious penalty prior to one concert ban (which is nothing!)
