Jesy Nelson splits from record label Polydor; solo career over?

Jesy Nelson has split from her record label Polydor after 14 months and has since been removed from Polydor’s roster. According to her spokesman, Jesy wanted to move in a new direction, and decided to part company with Polydor. Yup, just like that. She signed a major solo deal with Polydor Records in May last year but has only released one single, the Nicki Minaj-assisted 'Boyz.' That totally flopped of course and went nowhere. Her solo comeback was marred by black-fishing allegations and a public spat with her ex Little Mix band-mate Leigh-Ann Pinnock.

She's difficult to work with and that's been well documented. Her bad attitude alone was fully exposed for months. She kept criticising Little Mix in interviews. She went on that Instagram Live with Nicki Minaj, embarrassing herself for no reason. There were several reports circulating last month that her solo album was delayed due to record executives being 'unimpressed' with early versions of her songs. Of course she hopped on Instagram Stories to deny it, but there's never any smoke without fire. The album was obviously sh*t and her record label probably wanted her to scrap it and start over. So the real story most likely is that she had creative differences with them, and she realised their partnership just wasn't going to work once they told her it was their way or the high way.
