The King of Pop himself Michael Jackson, was soooo impressed with Chris Brown's VMA performance that he felt the need to pass on an exclusive statement to Access Hollywood. He says: "Chris is a bright and shining star whom I enjoy watching perform. I am happy to have had a positive influence on him". Chris has also received a lot of praises for his extravagant performance from all spectrum's of the media, many claiming that HIS performance should have been the opening act for the VMA's after Britney Spears failed to deliver. 50 Cent also had good things to say about the performance and Diddy enjoyed it so much that he was on his feet. Overall, Chris deservedly got his standing ovation at the end of his performance. I guess that's one performance MTV needs to thank him for. Alicia also had a good performance as well. Moving on. R&B girl group Cherish has officially announced the name of their new single. Here is what they wrote on their officialmyspace page: "Hello to all our friends! Cherish is coming out soon with our hot new single called "Killa". It's not what you think. It's about a guy who has hot killa looks! Get ready! Cherish is coming! There has been a lot of rumors about our next single release. But you now hear it first from Cherish!" Cherish's new album "The Truth" will drop 5th February 2008 according to their official website. I guess Shoe Fanatic was just a buzz track. Anyway, I look forward to the new album. My favourite R&B artist Tamia is releasing a christmas EP and on the left is the official cover art (click on the actual image for a larger view). She looks really pretty but then, she has always been a natural beauty to me. The EP will be released on 2nd October and will contain 5-7 seasonal songs. However, the full christmas album will drop next year, which to me doesn't make much sense being that it's a Christmas album and we'll have to end up waiting a whole year for its release.
