B5: DON'T TALK, JUST LISTEN [ALBUM REVIEW]....

The five Breeding brothers of B5 are back, after taking a couple of years off to grow up and show off their new mature sound. The band comprises of Dustin 19, Kelly 18, Patrick 16, Carnell 15 and Bryan 13 and their sophomore album Don't Talk Just Listen was released today on Bad Boy Records:

Stand out tracks include Erika Kane, Tear Drops, In My Bedroom, What It Do and No One Else amongst others. Even though the lyrics are on a higher level of maturity compared with their last joint, the CD is still very clean-cut and edgy. They certainly know how to channel their limits well to cater to their younger fanbase. There's still room for improvement with the vocals but their harmonising is coming along nicely. Kelly admits that though the music is clean, they no longer talk about not being able to wait to see a girl in school the next day as was the case with their 2005 single, All I Do. "We're talking about chilling and dancing in the clubs; we're talking about girls, like all teenagers do" he admits. Pretty much the expected from adolescent young boys morphing into their manhood. Overall, this album will make the little girl fans all giddy and excited as they keep in touch with their romantic side. The album is a nice effort for what it's worth. I wasn't blown away or anything but still it has a pretty good balance. I'm just mad that Diddy made them release this on the same day as Kanye West and 50 Cent with very little to zero promotion, therefore bringing Diddy's suitability as a mentor into question once again.
