MONDAY'S SCRUMMY R&B SCOOP ....

Over the weekend, Amerie did a gig at London's G-A-Y Club and donned a dangerously short black and white striped dress. But with those type of stunning legs, only the gorgeous and sexy Amerie can pull it off. Amerie has been doing heavy promotion in Britain for her latest new album Because I Love It. Her video Take Control has been getting heavy rotation on MTV and on Radio One - which is the number one radio station in the country. To get airplay on that show is really important because when you get played on Radio one, it really makes an impact on how well your single will do on the official singles chart.

She was also rocking the HELL out of those stiletto's. Let the Amerie invasion on British shores continue.

Christina Milian was spotted at the studio recently laying down more tracks for that new album she hopes to drop real soon:

Jennifer Lopez and her hubby Marc Anthony were spotted touring the sights of London and they managed to sneak out through the back door of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel where Jen performed a 40-min set but check this - they were there because a Russian billionaire forked over $2 million for Jennifer to perform at a joint birthday party for himself and his wife Saturday night. Her 40-minute set included such hits as "Jenny From the Block" and that cost 35-year-old Andrei Melnichenko $1.2 million:

Shockingly, he also paid another $800,000 to fly the singer, her husband Marc Anthony and their entourage from the U.S. to his 27-acre estate in Surrey, England, and put them up at the Mandarin Oriental in London (hell, if she's getting paid, why not?). Sixty guests, including Russian and Serbian tycoons, attended the bash for Melnichenko and his 30-year-old wife, former model Aleksandra Nikolic Melnichenko. Melnichenko, who is worth $5 billion, according to his spokesman, made his fortune founding MDM Bank. He's no stranger to lavish spectacle: He also paid Christina Aguilera $4 million to sing at his 2005 wedding in the south of France (wow, he could be putting all those millions to good use instead of spending it on pop stars who are already millionaires). Jen spent an hour on Saturday shopping at the fashionista's bargain favorite, Topshop. She has great taste then because I shop at Topshop every two weeks. In fact, it's my favourite store. Anyway, I wasn't feeling the glittery space pants at all but I absolutely love her coat, and also loved the hair and make-up.

Former American Idol champion Fantasia Barrino (below), who is now playing Celie in the musical The Color Purple, was feted at a party on Sunday evening at the new Times Square club Spotlight Live. She was joined at the celebration by newscaster Gayle King, best pal of Color Purple producer Oprah Winfrey. Fantasia hosted the official After Party for the New Broadway Show yesterday:

I see that Fantasia has been practising self-mutilation. There are just nooooo words. None whatsoever.

Yesterday, Baby Spice Emma Bunton showed off her baby bump for the first time as she and her baby daddy Jade Jones (from Brit R&B group Damage) attended the christening of Geri Halliwell's 10-month old daughter Bluebell Madonna:

The christening took place at Michael's Church in London on Sunday. The other Spice Girls Victoria Beckham and Mel C were there too. The only Spice Girl who didn't attend the reunion was Scary Spice Mel B who gave birth to a baby girl recently. The Spice Girls first came into fame with their mega-smash hit and debut single "Wannabe" 11 years ago.

There was a grand Opening at The Pearl at The Palms with Gwen Stefani in concert:

The Palms Casino Resort celebrated a milestone in its history last night when the resort rolled out the red carpet with celebrity panache for the $80 million dollar state-of-the-art Pearl Concert Theater opening. Black and white stripes must be the in-thing as of late as Amerie also rocked the same design at her GAY performance gig this past weekend.

Movieline's Hollywood Life 9th Annual Young Hollywood Awards went down over the weekend and Blu Cantrell attended looking the worse for wear. Only Blu can put in so much tackiness into one whole ensemble:

American Idol runner up and judge Katherine McPhee and Randy Jackson attended as did R&B singers Jojo and Tyrese.

Sharon Stone and Kelly Stone hosted the 1st Annual "Class of Hope Prom 2007" Charity Benefit. Fergie, Eric Benet and his daughter India were all in attendance:





Eric's daughter India is soooo pretty. I know Eric must dote on his daughter. They are seen everywhere together.

The Brand Jordan All-American Game took place this weekend:




BET host Roxie was at the 2007 Brand Jordan All-American Classic Region Game, as was Ne-yo, Ray-J, DJ Clue and Diddy's lap-dancing loving son Justin.

I guess this shoot ends all theories that Cassie is pregnant. She did look a little frumpy a couple of weeks ago. But she's currently working on her follow-up album so it just didn't make sense whatsoever. Anyway, it is in conjuntion with the May issue of Allure's "Look Better Naked" pictorial by Michael Thompson. Vaness Williams also did the same photoshoot.

This week Mya will be visiting 106 & Park and Access Granted on Wednesday/Thursday to premiere her new video Lock U Down. Last week, she was finishing up the dance-heavy video for the single, which features a guest appearance by Lil Wayne. I can't wait. She better be dancing her ass off.

BEYONCE'S UK NO 1 ....



Beyonce shot straight in at no1 on the UK singles chart last night with her single Beautiful Liar which features Shakira. The single has knocked Timbaland's Give It To Me to the no3 position. Congrats Beyonce!
