Well, R&B artist Amerie was close to my home when she was spotted in London yesterday afternoon with her fella in tow:
She signed autographs for fans after leaving a recording studio in London to finalise her upcoming new album Because I Love It, on April 18, 2007.
Amerie knows she's hot. She was working those London streets like no tomorrow posing and walking as if she was on that catwalk.
Yesterday, Beyonce seen out and about in NY after dinner with Jay-Z:
Christina Milian was seen out with her producer JR Rotem. He is currently producing tracks for her upcoming new album which is expected to drop later this year:
Christina looked mad purty. I am quite fascinated to see what she conjures up this year. Say what you want about the chick but she never gives up. All the best of luck to her.
Michelle Williams continues to do her thang in Chicago production The Color Purple where she plays starring character Shug Avery:
And the ex-Destiny's Child singer is also featured in Time Out Chicago magazine and she looked mad hot.
More pictures of Michelle in production:
I am really proud of Michelle. She has come such a long way. Who'd have thought a back-up singer who use to be put at the backburner at the height of Beyonce's popularity would end up seeing Broadway success? Mad props to her.
I spy with my little eye, something beginning with "U":
Usher was spotted coming out of the Mandarin Hotel this week in New York City.
And courtesy of Celebrity Babylon, here are some compromising sidekick pictures of Fantasia Barrino:
I don't know what she was hoping to achive by taking these type of pictures and how they got out to prying eyes is beyond me. But it certainly doesn't help the case for black women getting disrespected in Hip Hop lyrics when we get called bitches, ho's, this and that. Such images are enough to turn the most hot-blooded hetereosexual man into a bonafide homo.
Yesterday, Lloyd performed at the 2007 BET Networks Upfront Show:
The point of the show is to reach the broadest swath of Black viewers across multiple media platforms. BET Networks today reinforced their dominance by unveiling the most ambitious slate of programming in its 26-year history. Today, BET is recognized as the #1 provider of original Black programming. According to a 2006 study by Jack Myers Media, BET also ranks #1 among all networks in viewers more likely to purchase a product because they "consider advertising on the network to be a recommendation." Well well well. Last night's American Idol FINALLY saw Sanjaya get the boot. If there's any reason that he'll be missed it would be because he would set unusual trends each week with his infamous over-the-top hairstyles. But um, his elimination was well overdue in my opinion. There have been talented singers who ended up leaving before he did so if he ended up making the top 5, then that would have been an American Idol travesty:
I liked Sanjaya though. He was a sweet goodlooking chap but he was just not right for the competition as far as singing talent goes. Check out his Tuesday performance here. And to watch the elimination, check here. Nailbiting stuff right there. Lakisha Jones was the second person to get the lowest number of votes.
Here are some caps from Fergie's new video Big Girls Don't Cry:
Not sure about the single choice though but being Fergie, it will probably do well. Big Girls Don't Cry will be the fourth single from her debut solo album The Dutchess. And to watch Fergie's performance on last night night's American Idol, check here.
So here's your latest R&B crumbs ...
MORE NEWS ON CHRIS BROWN'S NEW ALBUM...
Chris Brown will be offering all of you R&B fans the real 'Exclusive' in September and I can't wait. The teen R&B star is eyeing a September release for his sophomore Jive album, "Exclusive." And he has shown his more creative side as he has also written several songs this time around. Among the songwriter/producers working on tracks are several from his self-titled first outing -- Bryan-Michael Cox, the Underdogs, Sean Garrett and Scott Storch -- as well as Will.i.am. The new album will contain elements of rock and go-go. It's also reported that several tracks recently previewed by Billboard exhibit an edgier, more mature tone that meshes well with his exuberant mix of R&B, hip-hop and pop. A first single has yet to be chosen. [READ MORE]

MILA J & MARQUES HOUSTON A COUPLE? (SINCE WHEN?!?!?)
It was reported a couple of weeks ago that R&B singer Marques Houston was seeing Kim Kardashian but the truth appears that he is actully dating R&B singer Mila J - older sister of R&B singer Jhene and cousin to Lil Fizz who use to be in R&B group B2K. Anyway, you can check out their personal video's here. They may be old but they are new to me.
BEYONCE GETS SUED BY DES'REE (WHAT'S NEW?)
Sigh, sigh, sigh. And here we go again. Queen of the lawsuits when it comes to using copyrighted music without the owners permission. Des'ree is suing Beyonce because she did exactly that apparently. She recorded Still In Love (Kissing You) which was originally recorded by Des'ree as "I'm Kissing You". Des'ree originally co-wrote the track which was used in Baz Luhrmann's 1996 film "Romeo and Juliet". Beyonce's version was recorded for the re-release of her album, "B'Day". Now Des'ree is suing to halt distribution of the song, video and album and seeking at least $150,000 in damages. My question is, does this chick EVER learn? [READ MORE]
Stay tuned. Stay entertained.
