WEDNESDAY'S R&B GRIND ...

Rihanna had a brilliant year in 2006 and when she released her internationally acclaimed sophomore album A Girl Like Me. Nobody ever thought she would become a phenomenal superstar. Monster hits like SOS and Unfaithful have catapulted her into the Hollywood domain and since then, this chick hasn't looked back. With another album expected to be released this summer, we have more of Rihanna to see and she will be a bigger star this year than the last. This week, Rihanna attended the 2007 Barbados Music Awards and practically sweeped ALL the categories that she was nominated in. She won RnB Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Female Artist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year during the second annual Barbados Music Awards. Check out the action right here:

As she made her way to the Gold Carpet, the Bajan beauty waved and blew kisses to the fans to show all of her appreciation for the love and support. She looked totally immaculate in a long-trained fuschia and black Marc Bowers dress.

She also performed at the ceremony and looked absolutely dazzling in a sexy green frock.

Ciara looked really hot in a brand new photoshoot that she did recently but for the life of me I have no idea where they come from. Check them out right here:

Not her best photoshoot by a long shot but she actually looks nice and girly in these.

Jennifer Hudson did The Late Night Show with David Letterman yesterday and she looked absolutely fabolous:

It seems however, that she has taken tips from her co-star Beyonce with the lace front. I hate those wigs to the max. What's so special about them? They're supposed to look as realistic as possible but they never do. The edges are always left hanging.

Yesterday, Jennifer also attended The 2006 National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Annual Gala:

The chick was EVERYWHERE this week. I guess it's her turn to shine now.

Vanessa Williams and Isiah Washington attended the "38th Annual NAACP Image Awards" Nomination Press Conference:

Though you can see the ageing process in and around her eye area, Vanessa will always be a dime in my eyes. She looks good.

This week it was all about the Stomp The Yard premiere. This saw hype for the movie hit town this week. I know certain folks who went to see the movie and they say it's REAL good. This is Chris Brown's first big acting debut because it's a big screen movie and chances are, this could end up being the first movie of 2007 that I end up seeing. That or Dream Girls. I watched the trailer, did a bit of research on the storyline and viewed some of the movie stills and it definitely looks like my type of movie. It seems like it takes after elements from Save The Last Dance, You Got Served, etc, but it seems like an enjoyable movie. I'm particularly curious about the extremely handsome Chris Brown, though his role is cut short, I am pretty certain, the movie would be worth seeing no matter how much screen time our cute R&B prince gets. The stars attended the premiere for the movie, so let's start with the cute and sassy Meagan Good:

Something about this chick has always irked me. Never really considered her to be that pretty but I think she actually looks good here. Chick is clearly working it.

Other stars who attended the premiere:

Tia Mowry and her fiance.

Evan Ross, Gabrielle Union, and the two cuties Chris Brown and Brian White. I got some thangs to say about his cute ass.

More sexy Brian, and he also brought his mama a long. Again, Tia and her fiance and Ne-yo.

Mekhi Phifer, Angie Stone, Darrin Dewitt, Sway Calloway, his daughter Kayoni and Lauren London.

Vanessa Williams and Kenya Moore.

Chris Brown was there of course looking fine as usual. Gorgeous Tia Mowry was there and seemed more than happy to show the world that she is engaged. She had a massive sparkly rock on her wedding finger. My man Brian White was there, as he too had a starring role in the movie. This man exudes sexiness to the fullest! Okay, so he may not be Wentworth Miller/Will Lemay type of fine but he is attractive either way and I would definitely holla at his sexy ass without second thought especially if I saw him in the street. Yum. Ever since I saw him in Trois 3, I've been mesmerised. His body is just siiiiick. I was looking at his modelling pictures the other day and my South turned to mush.

Diana's boy Evan Ross is close friends with Chris and was there to give his pal some support. Though, I think this guy is gay, he is definitely giving off some gay vibes to me. He is either that or bisexual. Why can't he just get a normal haircut like everyone else? He would look soooo much better. Right now my gaydar alarm is going off and it's not good. The beautiful Gabrielle Union was there as well, so basically this has got to be one of the most attractive attended premieres in a long while. So since that's out the way, here are some stills taken from the actual movie itself:

Cotdamn man, Ne-yo is fuggin ugly, I had to pick my face up from off the floor after it cracked. Being in movies is objective and definitely something he should refrain from doing in the future. Please. Dude is mad talented so stick to working in the background like producing for other artists. Looking at his face makes me sick. Now you guys can understand why I covered his face on his album on the right. Love his music and his work but cotdamn, we just don’t want to see you, at least I don't. I am too through!

During the opening, cutie Chris Brown gives us ladies some eye candy.

And it's all nice while it lasts ...

The movie is bound to be action packed.

Opposing teams watch in admiration.

There is also a love story involved surrounding Meagan's character...

But will it all be a happy ending? YOU will have to find out. Lastly but certainly not least ...
Will Smith and his family did a spot of touring in Europe to promote Will's new movie The Pursuit of Happyness and it all started in London:

In support, Jada accompanied Will at his "Pursuit of Happyness" London Premiere. Will also hosted a lunch for the Prince's Trust in London. He took over the turntables from Paul Everett and James Hicks - music centre entrepreneurs who were helped by the Royal charity:

Will's antics at the Dorchester hotel were watched by wife Jada and 8-year-old son Jaden who also starred in Will's new movie The Pursuit of Happyness. Thandie Newton was there too since she played wifey in the movie. This movie has been getting rave reviews EVERYWHERE and it is doing really well at the box office. Jada also admitted at the event that her and Will may also walk down the aisle yet again because it is their 10-year anniversary. Lastly, their next stop was Germany:

This time it was the Berlin premiere and it seemed like father and son had soooo much fun. For just an 8-year-old, little Jaden has tasted the showbiz life that occupies his parents and may very well be something which will enable him to follow in their footsteps one day.
