Before anyone freaks out over new reports that Netflix is abandoning its binge-release model for weekly releases instead, it is fake news. Apparently, it was a suggestion taken as fact by some sites and they ran with it.
I think Netflix are well aware that they would have lost even more subscribers if they had done that. Like myself, a lot of people lived for binge-watching their favourite shows and for many people the binge releases were a heaven sent during peak lockdown. The binge-release model will always be Netflix's biggest appeal. If Netflix is looking to fix something, it should be to stop cancelling good shows before people have even had time to watch them. I know I can't be the only one upset that they cancelled 'Resident Evil' after just one season.
