Britney Spears scores 14th top 10 hit on Billboard Hot 100 + breaks Hot 100 record...

Congratulations to Britney Spears on her Elton John collaboration 'Hold Me Closer' debuting at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week!

Britney has now had top 10-peaking songs in FOUR different decades on the Billboard Hot 100: the 90s, 00s, 10s and 20s. It becomes her fourteenth top 10 hit. At 40 years old, she becomes the youngest woman EVER to have a top 10 hit on the Hot 100 in four different decades! People are arguing that Beyoncé achieved this at 39, but 'Bills Bills Bills' from the 90s doesn't count as that was a Destiny's Child song. Not a song she did as a solo artist.

Despite all the drama that's been going on in her personal life, this shows that there is a market for new Britney music, and a full scale comeback is very much anticipated. Below is the official 'Hold Me Closer' lyric video, which was released today.
