Musiq Soulchild's new album Luvanmusiq leaked last night and ya'll know I got my download on. Not that it makes a lick of difference because I am going to buy this album on the very day it drops. There is only five words to sum up this album: beautiful-from-beginning-to-end. It starts off with current lead single Buddy. The song is anchored by a bumping bass line sampled from Taana Gardner's 1981 disco fantasia "Heartbeat", crafting together euphonious soulful baby-making music. Ms Philadelphia, Millionaire, Takeyouthere and Questions are the standouts. This album therefore proves that Musiq is one of those consistent neo-soul artists and will remain so in the years to come.
