R&B songstress Tamia is featured in the December 2007 issue of Black Enterprise magazine. As many Tamia fans like myself would know, Tamia got off Elektra/Atlantic records to go independent, where she released her first independent album - the fantastic Between Friends last year:
It covers Tamia being in sole control of her music. A good transition to go in if you're not happy with the way your label is handling your current state of affairs. It's a good read because it covers the ins and outs of the recording industry and how much is needed to be recouped from the artist to the record company. But looking at the cost to pay a producer for one song, they are laughing. No wonder Timbaland is hellbent on producing for all the pop acts now. Anyway, you can read the whole feature by CLICKING HERE. Thanks George.
