RUBEN STUDDARD GETS DROPPED!

The first ever American Idol champ to get dropped from a record label is Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard. J Records which is home to the legendary Whitney Houston, Mario, Monica, Alicia Keys, X-Factor winner Leona Lewis, Season 3 American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino and American Idol finalist Jennifer Hudson finally decided to give Ruben his marching orders. This comes as no surprise to me at all. His last album Soulful got zero promotion and the music on it was just lifeless and boring. I'm sorry. It was to me. I don't know what's worse. Listening to Ruben singing about sex or imagining Ruben HAVING sex. There was nothing appealing about him other than the big lovable and cuddly teddy bear image that worked to his advantage in the very beginning. I guess people just lost interest, or it could be that the American Idol hype is starting to lose its spark. And as we're talking about Sparks, this year's American Idol winner Jordin released her debut album last month and that didn't fair too well either.
