The Canadian singer has just turned 19 recently (16th June) and was first introduced to us when she released her single Bad Boy stateside 3 years ago. Keshia has also appeared in Bow Wow and Chris Brown's video for Shortie Like Mine. Things are bound to get interesting from here on out!
In other hot R&B news, Letoya Luckett is reportedly recording her sophomore album on Capitol records and the album is expected to be released this fall. They are practically looking at a November/December release date. On the new album Letoya is believed to be working with Dr. Dre, Rodney Jerkins and Babyface:
No wonder she has been making a lot of cameo appearances recently. She also features on Mike Jone's rendition of Bonnie & Clyde which you can listen to here. It all makes sense. But is this fall a good idea to put out another album so soon especially when Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Ashanti, Cassie and Keyshia Cole will be dropping this fall as well? What is the rush? Look what Rihanna done started now. It appears that releasing albums one year in between has become a trend because R&B singer Monica AND Janet Jackson are also releasing new albums real soon too and are now in the recording process.
Dancer Tyrell Washington also left a message on Myspace detailing Beyonce's upcoming performance at next Tuesday's BET Awards. She will be performing the track Get Me Bodied:
Apparently, he will be dancing with Beyonce on stage. She is believed to be performing the song with a "special guest". So folks, who do you think the special guest is? My bet is Rihanna. It also appears that BET are stepping up their game. E! has finally jumped on board and will be doing a Red Carpet moment. Guess BET aren't so ghetto after all. I can't wait to see Beyonce, Ciara and Rihanna take the stage. Not really looking forwards to Kelly's though as her performances aren't that great. Sorry.
