Chick will be 26 in September and still talking about she aint accomplish enough? *gasp* She's conquered Hollywood, sold millions of records worldwide, toured the globe, is dating the richest man in Hip Hop, appeared on nearly every single magazine known to man, won EVERY music award known to man, was endorsed by big name brands such as Pepsi, L'Oreal and more recently, Samsung phones as well as many others. She is also the face of Armani's fragrance and has her own clothing line and perfume (well, the clothing line is her mama's but Beyonce's name is used to market the clothes). And chick says she aint accomplished enough? Hell, if I even achieved as much as she did I'd be somewhere in the Bahamas shacking up and not ever thinking about work again. Yes, she's overly-ambitious and that's a good thing but not so when you're draining yourself out and permitting yourself to overexposure. There have even been more of those zillionth "engagement" rumours. Word has it that Bey and Jay are now planning to marry in Hawaii in the autumn. Jay-Z flew to London Sunday night to watch Beyoncé perform at Wembley on the latest leg of her UK tour.The 37-year-old hip-hop mogul even cancelled his own promotional tour of his business empire Roc-A-Fella to surprise his 25-year-old fiancée. Awwww. Black love. Niiiice.

Bey's concert is billed as The Beyonce Experience where sunday night was the second of two Wembley dates that she played in London. She was backed by a 13-piece, all-female band, including a heavily tattooed guitarist, a drummer and backing singers, Bey reportedly offered a high-energy spectacle from the moment she ascended on stage in a puff of white smoke to belt her way through Crazy In Love (which briefly morphed into Gnarls Barkley's Crazy) to a head-spinning Deja Vu, two hours later. Bey was also in my home city Birmingham on Friday when she played a gig at Birmingham's NEC Arena. Folks that went said the concert was fantastic. I'd have loved to have attended but was waaay too busy with shit. But I will catch this on DVD either way.

Ciara didn't get such a good review on her performance. According to writer Tom Breihan who was at the event, he writes: "Ciara's live show is sort of uncomfortable; it's like she tries to recreate the atmosphere of one of her videos in a situation where that couldn't possibly work. The basic blueprint seems to be early-90s Janet Jackson: headset mic, elaborate choreography, backing dancers with matching outfits, thin vocals, expensive beats, ceaseless declarations of love directed toward the audience. And she didn't exactly sing or lip-sinc; instead, she ad-libbed runs and played hypeman over recordings of her own vocals. A lot of her songs are really good, and I liked her dramatically fierce facial expressions, but her set was a mess".
But he took a softer approach to Chris Brown: "Chris Brown, got an enormous and deafening scream just by walking onstage. Teenage girls really, really love him, and he's absolutely willing to play to them; the cheer he got for humping the ground was hilarious. Still, he gave an oddly uncommitted performance, incessantly muttering between songs that the stage was too damn slippery like he wasn't talking to 50,000 people who'd been standing out in the fucking rain for hours. At last year's Summer Jam, he'd done three songs and then left the stage, which is basically the perfect amount of Chris Brown. He's a bigger star now, though, so he went longer. The highlight came when he put on a red leather jacket and a white glove to do an extended Michael Jackson tribute, singing "Rock With You" and "Billy Jean" while spinning around and moonwalking. There was also a weird bit where the DJ played 50 Cent's "What Up Gangsta" and a couple of little kids came out and krumped to it; there's something deeply unsettling about watching nine-year-olds dance to lyrics about killing you. Brown finished his set by bringing out a punchcarding Juelz Santana and an ecstatic Lil Wayne for their verses from the "Poppin'" remix. Wayne looked even happier with Chris Brown than he did with Swizz Beatz, and the cheer he got just about made him look like the most unlikely teen idol in recent memory."
Ciara may be a great performer on that stage (in my opinion) but she also shows lack of nervousness in her other anticipated performance for her new movie role "Mama, I Want to Sing!" which is an adaptation of the gospel musical. She says: "I don't want to claim the word 'nervous' at all," Ciara, 21, told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Friday. "I'm thinking, 'Ciara's gonna go in, she's gonna go hard, she's gonna challenge herself, she's gonna knock it out." Any butterflies, she says, will arrive closer to the shoot, which begins this month in Baton Rouge, La. For now, she's "excited more than anything." Ciara will portray Amara, a preacher's daughter who transforms from church choir singer to international pop superstar. The movie, based on the hit off-Broadway production that opened in 1984, also stars Patti LaBelle and Lynn Whitfield. She says: "I want to learn as much as I can. ... I want to be a sponge on the set," said Ciara, who has a singing scene with R&B legend LaBelle. "Mama," which will be distributed by Codeblack Entertainment under 20th Century Fox's FoxFaith label, is slated for release next year.

Pink meets Madonna? This edgier and more retro 80's style image is becoming a little contrived and forced in my opinion. And did you guys actually know that Umbrella was INTENDED for Mary J Blige? She says: "Any songwriter would die for Mary to sing one of their songs. So I just prayed that I got it. It was perfect for me - it had a West Indian groove. "When I saw one of the songwriters at the Grammy Awards, I went up to him and said, 'Listen, 'Umbrella' is my song.'"He must have thought I was really pushy and laughed it off. Chrissy looked really nice, as did the Pussy Cat Dolls. But they played Asia Nitollano mad HARD. I am now reading reports that Asia is no longer in the group as she was a wrong fit. Go figure, because you see The Pussy Cat Dolls at all these events WITHOUT Asia. That is just sooooo wrong! Nicole is supposed to be leaving the group but she is still frequenting the spot that was supposed to be Asia's. I wonder if she really will be on the next Pussy Cat doll album. The new album is reportedly called Double Trouble.

Despite facing four lawsuits for her involvement in a car crash that killed a 38-year-old mother, Brandy was all smiles as she left Area on Saturday. The R&B singer exited the trendy West Hollywood nightclub and told photogs she was "going home." Brandy then got in the passenger seat of an SUV, buckled up and had her friend drive her off into the night.
