MYA: LIBERATION HAS BEEN SHELVED....

According to Mya's no 1 fansite, her new album 'Liberation' has been shelved in the US due to "label conflicts". Reportedly, the singer has started work on her 6th album, tentatively titled Smoke & Mirrors. The new set is expected to be released sometime next year.

In an alleged interview, Mya said: "I feel as though Liberation was my best project to date, of course I wanted it released in the US, but things happen, so maybe it wasnt meant to be". She is supposedly looking at "better" producers to collaborate with on the new set including Timbaland, The Dream, The Underdogs, Scott Storch, Dre & Vidal, and Brian Michael Cox (who worked on her Liberation CD). The new album is stated to be more fresh, up to date, and different. It's no surprise the album has been shelved. I'm glad she's starting a fresh. Let's hope she comes correct this time round. As for a next year release date, you can't get too hyped but only time will tell. Click HERE to read my album review for Liberation.
