IT'S A WRAP FOR MYA'S LIBERATION ....

Mya arrived at T.I.'s party at the Louis Vuitton store in Lennox Mall, Atlanta... arm in arm with producer Polow Da Don. SOHH Soulful asked questions regarding what was up with their pairing. They giggled and responded... "We're just friends." And even when it was noted that their arm-in-arm antics could fuel further internet rumours, this did not deter the potential couple from shying away:

Mya told SOHH that her 'forthcoming' CD was due out at some point in 2007 and that in the meantime she is focusing on teaching and youth. SOME TIME IN 2007? SAY WHUTT? We know that translates to sometime in 2077. So I guess the album won't be dropping on 18th September after all. And it's rather likely that her 2nd single Ride has been scrapped as well. There is no way that Liberation will see an ounch of 2007 if she's talking about "some point". My prediction is that it may even get shelved. She needs to start from scratch, but HOW MANY FREAKIN' TIMES IS SHE GOING TO DO THAT? This album was supposed to drop two years ago when it was called Control Freak back then. There have been so many delays with Mya's forthcoming Liberation that Universal has shifted it's focus to Ashanti who's album The Declaration is set to drop 23rd October followed after lead single Switch. Mya is currently re-working and re-tooling some of her material with Polow (which is a good start but she should have hooked up with him from day one so it may be too little too late). I just hope this is a purely professional hook-up and that she's not fucking for tracks as was reportedly the case with Joss Stone. After all, her music career is in trouble and word in the streets is that Mya has been around.
