RIHANNA REIGNS UK TOP SPOT FOR NINTH WEEK ....

R&B starlet Rihanna has topped the UK charts for a NINTH week with her latest single "Umbrella". And in doing so, she has matched a RECORD for the longest run at number one this decade:

Rihanna also stopped Fergie's Big Girl's Don't Cry from getting to no1. Rihanna has equalled Gnarl's Barkley who also spent NINE weeks at number one last year with "Crazy". And if she's number one next week, it would mean she has broken records. This is not the first time Rihanna has broken records in the UK charts with Umbrella. She made history by being the FIRST female artist in the UK to have a no1 single on downloads alone and her single made history on i-Tunes by having the highest debut in downloads. It's clear to see why they're rushing to put her out on tour over here. They are doing everything they can to MILK her phenomenal success. Don't get me wrong, her songs are catchy as hell and she is likable, but can people really stand to see an artist with no stage-charisma perform for 90 minutes? Selling a hot record and putting out a visually hot video is one thing, but matching the hype on stage is another.
