CELEB SPOTTINGS: R&B SINGERS OUT & ABOUT ....

Ashanti had a 27th birthday bash held in Atlanta at Jermaine Dupri's club and restaurant Cafe Dupri. The singer turned 27 on October 13 and her boyfriend Nelly was at the bash to help her celebrate. These two really were loved up:

She looks amazing. She is reminding me of vintage Janet Jackson during her IF era. The song goes for adds today and is now released on i-Tunes. I guess a b'day isn't the only thing Ashanti has to celebrate. Mary J Blige won't be pushing back her album Growing Pains to 11th December after all, and it doesn't look like Mariah will be dropping either. So Ashanti no longer has to worry about any hardcore competition to stand in her way when she releases new album The Declaration.

He is working it. Usher and Justin Timberlake, take notes. It seems he has finally gotten over being duped over signing that fraudulent non-existant recording contract. There have been so many R&B birthdays in the month October! Another R&B singer who celebrated her 40th birthday last week was Toni Braxton. Her birthday was on 10th October. Mya celebrated her 28th on Oct 5th. And Usher celebrated his 29th on Oct 14th.

Maybe I'll pop into Waterstones and stand up and read the only chapter as to how he got it on with Janet Jackson. But I can't really see anything remotedly interesting that will have me reaching out to read the whole book. I anticipate Superhead's book though. The first book was fireworks. And why hasn't Janet written HER book yet? Now THAT would be worth reading gold.
